We are currently traveling at 525 mph, 38000 feet, and have traveled 3596 miles with 478 to go.
I’ve dozed a little on the trip but haven’t really slept a lot. I’ve been sitting here thinking over the events of the trip and just cannot believe them. Just 10 days ago I was sitting on a flight headed the opposite direction. I was unsure, nervous and even a little scared.
Through the course of these past few days I have seen beautiful villages, grand cities, and have been a part of something so touching that I doubt I’ll ever be able to fully explain it.
I’ve made friends in countries I’ve never dreamed of visiting, spoken with members of our armed forces, and shared laughter, songs and meals with people from all over the world.
I owe my friends in Bounding Main a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.
This strange road of life I wander never ceases to amaze me. I went on this trip to support friends, and to see a bit of the world. Who knew we could have had such an amazing adventure.

At the airport
We are sitting at the airport in Frankfurt. I got snagged by securty for a special test. They had to swipe all my equipment with a swab and run it through the bomb sniffer.
